Maya Calloway

Maya Calloway

Lead Climbing Guide

15 years guiding

  • AMGA Single Pitch Instructor
  • AMGA Rock Guide Course
  • Wilderness First Responder

Maya has spent 15 years and more than 1,500 guided days on the rope, from the red sandstone of the Front Range to big walls in Yosemite and the desert cracks of Indian Creek. All that experience goes into the part of the job she loves most: helping nervous first-timers trust their feet. Most of her guests leave asking when they can come back.

Eli Navarro

Head Fly-Fishing Guide

18 seasons on the South Platte

  • Colorado Registered Outfitter Guide
  • Wilderness First Aid
  • FFI Certified Casting Instructor

Eli has guided the South Platte for 18 seasons and logged more than 2,000 days on the water. He knows every riffle from Deckers to the Dream Stream, and which fly the trout want this week. He's patient and unhurried, and he's at his happiest when a guest lands their first wild trout. He ties every fly in his box himself.

Hiking & Backpacking Guide

All 58 Colorado 14ers

  • Wilderness First Responder
  • Leave No Trace Trainer

Austin has stood on the summit of every one of Colorado's 58 fourteeners, from Pikes Peak's long trail to the knife-edge ridge of Capitol Peak. His backpacking record includes the full 486-mile Colorado Trail, the Four Pass Loop through the Maroon Bells, a high route through the Weminuche Wilderness, and a traverse of Wyoming's Wind River Range. All those miles make him calm and unhurried on the trail, and he'll happily talk about any peak you ask him about.

Sam Whitaker

Sam Whitaker

Mountain Bike & Winter Guide

12 years coaching

  • PMBIA Level 2 Instructor
  • Wilderness First Responder
  • AIARE Avalanche Level 1

A former enduro racer, Sam has spent 12 years coaching riders of every level through the Front Range's best singletrack, and has ridden Palmer Park's rock gardens since before most of its trails had names. In winter he swaps wheels for snowshoes and leads the quiet forest tours guests often call the highlight of their visit. He's patient, encouraging, and has a cocoa recipe he won't share.
